New Year, New Direction?

By Kate Williams

At this time of year we often come across homeowners who are looking to make a move in the new year and want to wait until January before they get on the market. If you want a head start on the rest of the homeowners with the same thought pattern then you might want to consider our New Year Auction Event.

Now is the time to prepare – tidy-up those last minute jobs, engage your agent, get photos taken and then showcase your property with maximum exposure over the Christmas/New Year holidays. Don’t worry about viewings or open homes until the second week in January, you can relax into the New Year knowing you have done all the hard work and preparation, ready for auction day on 1 February 2024.

We have a number of exclusive marketing options available only for homeowners listing into this event to get your property seen by more cash buyers and giving you, the homeowner, the best chance of a premium price in a reasonable period of time. Our last auction event saw 11 properties up for auction – 4 sold under the hammer on the day and out of the remaining 7 properties – 4 have now sold, 1 is under offer, 1 is still available and 1 was withdrawn from the market.

Our average days on market for properties that have been through the auction process is 35 days vs properties that have gone to deadline sale/price by negotiation or priced properties have an average days on market of 52 days.
